Or, if you already have a diamond or gemstone that you would like set, we offer Custom Jewelry Design to fashion a jewelry piece unique to your own taste.
Diamond Setting/Resetting
There isn’t a right or wrong way to choose your ring setting. Some settings may display the diamond more favorably by making the stone appear larger or allowing more light to shine through but as the saying goes, the beauty is in the eye of the beholder so you take the lead. Our jewelers will help you through each step of your design and here are the setting types you can choose from.
Solitaire Setting - a single diamond or gemstone is mounted without any other stones surrounding it and the techniques most commonly used include prong, channel, bezel or tension setting
Three-Stone Setting - three diamonds, gemstones or a combination of both are set three in a row, commonly the center stone will be larger than the two side stones and the techniques range from traditional prong settings to invisible and bar settings
Accent Stone Setting - the main diamond or gemstone is surrounded by many smaller stones and all types of techniques can be used to set the accent stones but channel setting, cluster setting and pavé setting can create a dazzling look
Bridal Set - some engagement rings come with a matching wedding band that range from intricate designs to simple, elegant bands that fit perfectly nestled together
Gemstone Setting & Resetting
When it comes to setting or resetting gemstones our expertise can be invaluable. Because different gemstones have different hardness and some withstand pressure and heat better than others it is important to know how to handle each stone to ensure setting or sizing is completed while keeping the gemstone perfectly intact. Our careful process will ensure proper care is taken for each stone in the setting. We can happily help you with gemstones that you bring to our Gilbert showroom or we can view our loose gemstone selection together if you are picking out a birthstone or anniversary stone.
From engagement rings to birthstone rings or a treasured family heirloom that you want to reset or restore, we are excited to work with you to choose a beautiful setting and ultimately what we hope will be your favorite ring for years to come.
